NJNG is proud to partner with Interfaith Neighbors, an Asbury Park-based nonprofit, to provide home ownership opportunities for working families who would otherwise be unable to afford a house. The program began in 1996 when NJNG made a contribution of $25,000. Since that time, 14 affordable housing units have been offered to qualifying families in Asbury Park and Neptune.
The most recent project undertaken through this partnership is the renovation of a home in Asbury Park, which will be the first in a 10-year plan to build 15 affordable homes in the city. The effort will contribute to the ongoing revitalization of Asbury Park, and will be Interfaith Neighbors largest project to date.
