A Brighter VISION for Our Communities

NJNG’s spirited sense of community involvement is supported by our Volunteers Inspiring Service in Our Neighborhoods (VISION) program. Every year, our employees and retirees, with the help of their families and friends, generously give their own time to support community projects. In 2011, we contributed more than 4,400 hours of community service to various organizations throughout our service territory. You’ll see VISION volunteers:

• Improving neighborhoods by cleaning up parks and buildings.
• Collecting and packaging food, warm clothing and baby care supplies to donate to local agencies.
• Offering in-kind services including lending portable gas grills free for large community gatherings and use of our Asbury Park business office as a location for free income tax help during tax season.
• Staffing water stops at local road races throughout the year.
• Providing groups of volunteers throughout the year to help out with a variety of community events and fund raisers.

NJNG also encourage students in our communities to participate in VISION events. Student activities include letter-writing campaigns to our troops and beautification projects at local parks and beaches.
