NJNG is especially proud to offer a number of programs to benefit senior citizens – a large and growing segment of our customer population. If you have difficulty keeping your natural gas account up to date and you’re over 65 years of age, you can request a courtesy call prior to any suspension of natural gas service for nonpayment.
Our Third-Party Notification service allows residential customers to designate a relative, friend or government agency to receive a duplicate copy of any discontinuance notice for nonpayment of bills. The third party is not responsible for payment. To apply for either of these services please call 800-221-0051 or e-mail customerservice@njng.com.
For additional information or to request a copy of our Special Services for Seniors brochure, call our consumer and community relations department at 732-938-1074 or e-mail customeradvocate@njng.com.
NJNG’s efforts to provide safe, reliable and affordable service include helping customers manage energy costs through payment arrangements. Our budget plan can help lower your winter heating bills by spreading your annual costs evenly over 12 monthly payments at no additional cost.
We also work closely with community service organizations so that we can help customers experiencing financial difficulties access available energy assistance through federal, state and local programs.
The NJNG Gift of Warmth fund assists customers unable to afford their natural gas heating bills. For additional information on energy assistance please call 800-221-0051 or e-mail customerservice@njng.com.
Education is among the most important investments we can make in the future of our communities. NJNG’s Energy for Education program supports a variety of learning opportunities for students of all ages.
Our Project Venture mentoring program gives students the chance to experience the business world firsthand. NJNG’s Libraries On-Line program supports lifelong learning by offering faster and improved access to online information and communication at public libraries.
For additional information call our consumer and community relations department at 732-938-1035.
